The Carol and Jonathan Price Memorial Fine Arts Scholarship
The Bedford County Arts Council is dedicated to supporting all areas of the arts. The Arts Council will award a scholarship to a deserving high school senior each year in the amount of $1,000, in the areas of Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Music, Theatrical Arts, or Dance. Seniors from any high school in Bedford County may apply.
Application Deadline: March 15th of each year.
Proof of enrollment in post-secondary education is required before funds are paid out.
How to Apply
All Applicants must include the following for their application to be considered:

A resume of artistic work, classes, and awards. Be sure to include the title of the work, your role in the work (if applicable), the date the work was completed, and what organization you were working with (if applicable). Attach below.

An essay of up to 750 words discussing what the arts have meant to you. Attach below.

One recommendation from a teacher or coach in the artistic area (Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Music, Theater, or Dance) for which you would like to be considered. The teacher or coach may use the form below or a recommendation letter, as preferred. Download recommendation form here >

Examples or a small portfolio demonstrating your best work. These examples may be digital pictures of art, examples of writing, or video/audio recordings. Attach below.
